Welcome to the Evangelism for Today website! This resource contains the personal blogs of Evangelists Harold and Phyllis Powell. We have created this site for the purpose of sharing our vision and our life’s calling with others. First of all, it is an undeniable fact that every believer has been called to evangelize (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19; 2 Timothy 4:5). So, first and foremost, we hope to provide helpful information and evangelistic tools for all believers. But, it is also a fact that some individual members of the Body of Christ have been specifically called and placed in the office of evangelist by Jesus Christ Himself (Ephesians 4:11).

We hope to share the importance of the Christ-given office of evangelist in future articles. We also hope to provide ideas and practical ways to fulfill that calling for all those who have been set aside by the Spirit to fulfill this unique calling. Ironically, as we grow nearer to the finish line of this Church age, the office of evangelist has become somewhat neglected or virtually demoted in some circles.
